Sherwood Oaks College Now Accepting Student Enrollment for its "Bankable Actors & Directors - Your Access to A-List Talent" Worksh
A media representative for the extremely popular Sherwood Oaks College, a screenwriter training school, today announced it is now accepting student enrollment for its 2013 "Bankable Actors & Directors - Your Access to A-List Talent" workshop.

The training program is scheduled to begin on January 29th and run through January 31st of 2013. The class of 2012 witnessed incredible success as nearly 1/3 of the students received requests for their scripts from industry professionals. One of the biggest success stories of last year's program was Jim Chapman who, in July of 2012 was asked for his script while at the last meeting which evolved into a pitching and feedback session as part of the bankable actors-director seminar.
This class allows an enrolled student to attend the annual celebrity dinner where students met George Clooney, Bryan Cranston in the sold out 2012 celebrity event.
Another successful student named Derrick Pete attended the January 2012 class and he is now working as a writer for Pierce Brosnan's company. Like many of the school's successful students, Derrick met vice-president of Mr. Brosnan's production company while attending an event at Sherwood Oaks. Gary Shusett, the founder of the school said, "We have a lot of successful students who got a head-start simply by attending our classes and seminars."
The school's networking events are designed to connect participants with Hollywood stars and industry leaders who are able to help the students become successful. According to a Forbes article dated May 30, 2012, "What you are really selling is your execution of that great idea. This often comes down to who is already "attached" to the project. In movies and television, this means that a major star, a powerful producer, or a hot director has already committed to doing your project should it get set up."
Mr. Shusett said, "You need a top actor to make a movie, this seminar can make it happen." The biggest challenge writers and filmmakers experience is connecting with talent that can make a film a reality. "Yes, Hollywood talent is always interested in outstanding writing. However, it's not just about the fees for top actors, it's about creating material that has an excellent character arc and a great story line" said Mr. Shusett.
Hollywood makes its own rules, and rather than sitting back and hoping to find good material, many successful actors and directors have created their own production companies so they can read and review new material. Sherwood Oaks has had more than a few of those production companies attend its classes in an effort to find good ideas they can turn into movies. Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, and Pierce Brosnan have all discovered new talent at the school, and next year's class promises to be incredibly rewarding for its students.
Talent usually means a 'bankable' actor or director and the reality is that attaching talent is key to getting a movie made and distributed. Sherwood Oaks is a leader in creating classes that are on the cutting edge and designed to assist students in acquiring work in Hollywood.
After nearly 30 years of developing key industry relationships, Sherwood Oaks has created a class that instantly provides access to the most influential talent in the entire movie making industry. The upcoming "Bankable Actors & Directors - Your Access to A-List Talent" workshop will give qualified, undiscovered writers an opportunity to access the top talent in the industry by meeting at least 5 guests each day for 3 full days. The class will be devoted to companies of top talent who are looking for new material to create the next Hollywood blockbuster.
Gary Shusett said, "By putting you in a room with representatives from the production companies of top A list stars, Sherwood Oaks gives you the best opportunity to make a life-altering Hollywood connection and attach an A list star to your film. A few Hollywood stars which are scheduled to send a representative to the 2013 class are Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Ashton Kutcher, Will Smith, Will Farrell, Michael Douglas and Jack Black. The production companies of Morgan Freeman and Pierce Brosnan will also attend next year's class. Production companies of big stars are looking for fresh material since Oscar and award shows prefer smaller budget films that allow an actor to reveal their strengths.
Our students are ages 25 to 75. The oldest screenwriter was David Seidler who won an Oscar for "The King's Speech" at age 74. Let 2013 be the year that you make your dreams come true. You can also visit us at www.MeetHollywoodExecs.com.
