Years of Police Board Experience for Stephen Hasler

Stephen Hasler tries to stay involved in all levels of policing.

Parker, CO (prHWY.com) December 31, 2012 - There are many levels to keeping communities safe. There are the police that are on the ground patrolling the streets days and nights, there are the officers who work in the offices holding different levels and ranks, and there are law enforcement agencies that cover the top tiers of crime like the FBI and CIA.

Stephen Hasler's career is law enforcement and loves the work. He is dedicated to keeping any community safe even if it is not the one he lives in. "I've tried to get involved in different levels of policing; from local to regional levels," says Stephen Hasler. He accomplished this through years of academic training and by joining a number of different police boards.

Stephen Hasler kicked off his career by joining the British Police Force in 1977 and then by attending the world famous Bishopsgarth British Detective Training School a detective training academy in England before moving to the United States. He attended Pikes Peak Regional Police Academy where he graduated first in his class in 1992. He then began his career as a Chief of Police in Erie, Colorado.

"To get involved in the different levels of police work, I joined a number of different boards and associations. At the county level, I joined the Weld County Chiefs of Police Association," says Stephen Hasler. And the association noticed his natural leadership skills. In 1997, he took on the role of Association President.

Stephen Hasler has been an executive member of several different police boards. One of the associations he as board member for was the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police. Stephen Hasler served as a board member for the association between 2006 and 2009. In 2008, he once again held the position of President.

Stephen Hasler joined a more focused group in 2008 that maintained a strong focus on drugs. He joined the South Metro Drug Task Force Executive Board in 2005. Between 2005 and 2012, Stephen Hasler served the task force as a board member. During the same time he worked to get rid of drugs in his community, Stephen Hasler was invited to join the FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force. He began serving as an executive board member in 2010 and continues serving today.
