Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) January 28, 2013 - The small locally owned zoo about 30 miles southwest of San Antonio, Texas always had a problem keeping their food supplies stocked. They had a habit of running out of food for the lions, tigers and bears that were kept on display.

"It seemed no matter who we hired or what we did, we were always running out of food", explained James Billings, the owner of the zoo. "I swear we would order enough food and it would just disappear."

James Billings recently purchased the zoo from its previous owner. The sale went through about a year and half ago. The previous owner of the zoo believed that a group of ghosts was responsible for the theft of the animal food, which is why he wanted to pass on ownership of the zoo to someone else.

"The previous owner gave me this story about how there were ghosts or goblins that would steal the food", said Billings. "I thought he was a little crazy, and then I noticed our food supplies started running low. I thought the guy might have been on to something."

Billings launched an internal investigation and realized that it wasn't anything supernatural causing the missing food. It was the direct result of poor management skills in the inventory department.

"I realized that people were either over ordering or under ordering supplies", explained Billings. "I immediately installed an online inventory management system onto every computer in the zoo. This software program will help us realize when our inventory is low and when we need to reorder."

The software program has been installed on the computers for over four months and the missing food hasn't happened in that time frame.

"I think it just took a few responsible people to realize that it was mismanagement and not the supernatural that was causing the missing food", explained Billings.

James Billings still allows the rumors of the supernatural ghosts to float around the zoo. Some people come from all over the world to see the haunted zoo and see if they can spot any ghosts.

"I don't want to discourage people from trying to see the ghosts in the zoo", explained Billings. "I am sure there are tons of them here. It's just the ghosts aren't responsible for the food shortage. I truly believe there are ghosts on this property, I'm just not sure where they are or what they are doing."
