Apart from saving lives, we seek to consolidate both the health and voluntary work cultures and support patients who are in urgent need of blood."

Bin Humaidan underscored the importance of participating in such humanitarian campaigns that contribute to saving the lives of patients particularly children with thalassemia, patients undergoing open heart surgeries or suffering from severe hemorrhages and victims of hazardous road accidents.

Apart from Dubai eGovernment staff, the employees of other departments whose offices are located in HH Dubai Ruler's Court also took part in the blood donation campaign. As many as 52 employees donated blood after the DHA had made the pre-screening medical tests and given the necessary advice to them.

During the campaign DHA stressed that it is absolutely safe and healthy to donate blood, since all employees could also check their blood pressure and haemoglobin levels. DHA also added that each pint of donated blood could potentially save the life of between 3 and 5 human beings.
