Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) February 13, 2013 - Videos that star dogs are not new to the Internet. People love to post videos of their dogs doing all types of things ranging from eating, sleeping and interacting with other dogs or animals, but people's opinions of dogs in videos may change if one online university has its way.

The Technological University of Dallas is offering an entire IT training course that features videos with dogs. These videos showcase dogs teaching and engaging in a variety of valuable IT skills.

"We noticed that a lot of the people who took part in the course said the videos in the course could be better", said John Manners, the director of the IT training department at The Technological University. "All the videos included former students showing the various IT skills. I wanted to update the online IT training videos and make it something that would encourage people to learn these valuable skills."

John Manners hired 5 different animal trainers to teach the dogs how to do the various stunts and activities that would appear in the online IT training videos. The five animal trainers worked with over 100 different dogs, all of which appear on the training videos.

"It was a lot of fun", said Manners. "We were working with hundreds of dogs and creating something that is truly unique to the IT world. I know people thought we were crazy, but the videos we created have become really successful. It's amazing."

The idea of using dogs in online IT training videos really took off. There were forum posts, articles, and TV talk shows dedicated to the subject. People from all over the world were expressing interest in taking part in this online training course.

"We had people from all over the world trying to sign up", said Manners. "I had to start an application process so that we were really taking the number of people we could train."

The dog online IT training videos didn't just increase interest in the training course. It also increased the skills of the students who graduated. Almost 98% of all people who took the course were able to gain employment in the IT industry.

"I took the class because I had a little interest in the IT industry", said Jeff Gallows. "I walked out with valuable skills that were able to land me a job in the IT industry. It's hard to believe video staring dogs could do that, but it did. It's really amazing."
