While there are many who fight for basic human rights retaliate against it, there have been a few religious people supporting it. The new twist is the researchers are claiming it to be beneficial to one's health.
The Journal of American Medical Association has mentioned and published an article stating the advantages of circumcision. It has been recently noted that the process of circumcision can reduce the chance of Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) and other sort of infections by one-third. They are of the opinion that this surgery isn't any new. It has been practiced since ages and there has been no harm or adverse effect till date noted.The anti-circumcision bill too has equal supporters. The leading supporters of this bill includes Lloyd Schofield seem to be considering it unnecessary. The worst part is it being carried on children they say. One has no right to cause the excruciating pain in children including the parents.

The researchers have however decided to keep mum. This is because they feel that the more they will speak about the advantages, the more will be the fight against it. People believing in Islam seem to practicing it extensively. Besides, some Christians are also known to practice it. It has also been a sort of compulsory in Judaism.
