Victor Edward Acevedo Directs Upcoming Project

Adding yet another great project to his CV, Victor Edward Acevedo is writing and directing a small play in his hometown of San Juan.

San diego, CA (prHWY.com) April 16, 2012 - San Juan - Adding yet another great project to his CV, Victor Edward Acevedo is writing and directing a small play in his hometown of San Juan.

Sweet Bitter Ocean, a play that is still being written, is about a young man who falls in love with a siren, or modern day mermaid. Part romantic comedy, part drama, the Sweet Bitter Ocean in an English play that hopes to get the attention of local media, Acevedo said.

The premise, a young fisherman who recently lost his young wife, tries to find solace in his fishing. One day the fisherman, also played by Acevedo, winds up catching a mermaid's tail on his hook. The Mermaid, who hates fisherman clips the fishing line but follows it back up to the fisherman's boat where a conflict and then a romance follows.

The crux is what do you do when you now create love? What do you do if the love of your life now becomes a burden? Do you embrace it? Do you let it go? Mr. Acevedo, in his play, answers these very questions.

"As they say, a bird and fish can fall in love, but where are they going to live," Acevedo, laughed at a recent production event for one of his other projects. "This is a story of healing, of loss, of friendship, of love, of gain, and everything good and bad in between," Mr. Acevedo, stated.

Mr. Acevedo is currently looking for a variety of locations to host the production, as the one he would have used was suddenly closed for financial reasons.

"We hope to leave the audience feeling good, but also thinking about their blessings in life, Acevedo added. "Personally, I have been blessed and I have been so grateful that so many people have been supportive of me and my projects."

The small production will be Mr. Victor Edward Acevedo's 6th on-stage production which he wrote. "Personally, I think I'm getting better and better at writing, but in the end, it will be about the audience who ultimately decides its fate."

Sweet Bitter Ocean is sure to capture the attention of audiences everywhere, including here in Puerto Rico.
