New York, NY (prHWY.com) June 28, 2012 - There is a reason why East Harlem Dental say that how you treat your teeth can change your life. A recent study in the UK shows that six out of ten people over the age of 55 regret their lack of oral health care when they were younger.

About one if five people in the UK wear dentures. Many of the people studied realized that if they had taken better care of their teeth and gums in their youth, they would still have their own teeth in their older years.

Dentists at East Harlem Dental Plaza (http://dentistsinharlem.com) recommend that dental care starts with parents cleaning the very first baby teeth and gums.

East Harlem dentist goes on to say that people need to brush their teeth for two minutes twice a day with a flouride toothpaste. They should also reduce the amount of sugary foods and drinks they ingest.

Most importantly, everyone needs to visit a dentist twice a year for a thorough cleaning and exam.

If our current generation follows the advice of East Harlem Dental, they should end up with a lot less regret and a lot more teeth.
