Woman Discovers Amazing Long Lost Family Recipe with Help of E-Discovery Software

E-discovery software is usually reserved for graduate students and lawyers who need to scan hundreds of documents and textbooks quickly. Diane Strong of Minnesota was using this software program to help create an extremely detailed family tree

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) October 11, 2012 - E-discovery software is usually reserved for graduate students and lawyers who need to scan hundreds of documents and textbooks quickly. Diane Strong of Minnesota was using this software program to help create an extremely detailed family tree when she came across something that was both amazing and super delicious.

"I wanted to surprise my family for the holiday season and create an extremely detailed family tree", explained Diane Strong. "I was using the e-discovery software program my son used for graduate school to help find bits and pieces of information for the family tree. That was when I discovered the ancient family recipe."

Diane Strong's family has a long history of making mouth-watering, delicious recipes. Somewhere around 1930 and 1940 the family's recipes disappeared. No one knew exactly where they went or how they got lost.

"Everyone in the family had a different story for how these recipes disappeared", explained Strong. "Some would say they were lost in a family, others would swear it got lost while my family was moving from place to place. No one really knew what happened to these recipes or if they were even still around. Then I found them."

While Diane Strong was looking into filling out a detailed summary of her family from 1935 she discovered what appeared to be a recipe while scanning some of the family's hundreds of documents. The recipe was written on the back of an old tax return that her great grandfather used to pay the government.

"It was amazing", said Strong. "I found this old random recipe on the back of a tax form. I looked at other papers and discovered that they all had recipes written on the back of them. I was astounded."

Diane Strong believes that her great grandparents may have lost the original recipes. In an attempt to recover the lost recipes they started to write them down on any piece of paper they could find. This included health records, land deeds and tax papers; anything that could be used as a piece of paper.

"I am just so amazed to have these cherished recipes back in the family", said Strong. "We thought they were lost for good and now with the help of the e-discovery software program I was able to bring these delicious family recipes back to my family and make it somewhat of a family tradition to make all these lovely recipes."
