This webinar is aimed at helping healthcare providers clear cut and specific ways by which to steer clear of the Corporate Integrity Agreements (CIA) process so that the most advantageous result accrues to the organization.
CIAs are imposed on healthcare providers by the US Department of Human Services, Office of Inspector General (OIG) when serious conduct (fraudulent or abusive action) is discovered through an audit, investigation, or self-disclosure. These laborious and detail-oriented agreements usually last four or five years. CIAs usually give healthcare providers what is called a second chance by allowing them to participate in federal healthcare programs.
This webinar is for those providers who do not have a clear understanding of the CIA's. It happens quite often that the CIAs entered into by providers lack clarity and are confusing, because the providers are not fully aware of the nuances of the agreements. When this happens, the process could backfire and land them in trouble all over again with the OIG. This webinar will help providers gain an understanding of how to use the process in a way that benefits them to the best possible extent.
