TV Show Enthusiasts Reenact Favorite Shows During a New Halloween Costume Themed Party

Fanatics of favorite TV shows and books often had to resort to fan fiction or Internet forums to exchange 'what if' scenarios with other fans, but a new Halloween costume themed party might change all that.

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) November 16, 2012 - Fanatics of favorite TV shows and books often had to resort to fan fiction or Internet forums to exchange 'what if' scenarios with other fans, but a new Halloween costume themed party might change all that. TV World Dressed Up is a new party planning company that hopes to help fanatics of favorite TV shows and books reenact favorite scenes from their favorite shows.

"What we do is we provide all party attendees with the costumes they need to dress up as their favorite characters", said Patty Eagle, creator and founder of TV World Dressed Up. "We then provide the party attendees with an old script from their favorite TV show or allow them to create their own scene. It really is fun."

Fans of favorite TV shows and books were often only given the chance to reenact favorite scenes and/or make up their own during conventions. These conventions would sometimes only be held once a year or every three to four years.

"People could meet up with other fans, but that was usually during conventions", said Eagle. "I wanted to create an environment where they would be able to reenact their favorite scenes any time they wanted and not have to wait for conventions."

TV World Dressed Up is available for a wide variety of parties. Some of the parties can be private where attendees are invited to the event. Other parties are ones that Patty Eagle schedules herself and makes it open to the public.

"We have several events, several times a year", said Eagle. "I post them on the company's Facebook page and we have numerous people attending the events. It really is a great way to get people interested not only in the party, but in the shows that we are reenacting."

TV World Dressed Up received the highest award that local area residents could present. It was nominated and won Best Halloween Costume Ideas for the greater Chicago area. This was the first time it was nominated for such an award.

"I was really surprised to see that I won", said Eagle. "I didn't really think my party planning business was a Halloween costumed type place, but it turns out it is. I've received several e-mails from former party attendees telling me that they used some of my ideas for their Halloween costume. It was a real honor to win the award and be so highly thought of in the community."
