General Knowledge genius lives off pub quiz winnings

Glasgow, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) November 22, 2012 - So you are stuck in the grind after that fancy degree your parents worked their hands off for. How would you feel when a guy tells you that he does not have a job but still manages to get his hands on £60,000 pa. Impossible ? Hardly as it seems for GK genius Christian Drummond.

Christian Drummond took up an unusual job after struggling to find a job. He earns all that money off pub quiz machines. Unbelievable right? Chris has managed to pay his university fees, travelling and wedding expenses with his earnings from the machines. He manages to earn around £60 an hour.

Categorized as earnings from gambling the income is not taxed. Chris estimates that he has visited around 10,000 pubs earning between £40 and £60 an hour.

Christian Drummond has received his formal education in English literature. Chris says that he has measured his life out in pubs. He discovered this method of earning almost by chance. Chris takes two-week trips to cities where he visits pubs with the quiz machines.

"If I run out of pubs in a city, I just head to another one." Says Chris.

Chris knows all 500 Charles Dickens characters, the population of all the African cities and the no. of sets in every Wimbeldon Final.

Chris course has taken him through Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, on to Glasgow and back along the same course.

Chris has decided however to give it up.

Christian said: 'It was very exciting at first, but now it has become work, but not just that it has become drudge work.

'It is not what I studied for, so now enough is enough and I want to get a normal job.'
