In January 2011 producer Bellamkonda Suresh had announced that he had signed a movie with Gautam Menon, Ram and Samantha for his upcoming production. But later in September Ram was replaced by Nani as Ram left out movie with some unknown conflicts. Nani had earlier worked with Gautam Menon in "Yeppam".

Official audio launch for the movie had been released way back in August 27, 2012. Lyrics for all songs are written by Anantha Sreeram.

This Telugu Film "Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu" is directed by Gautham Menon and produced by C.Kalyan on Teja Cinema banner with musical scores by Ilayaraja was in a bit of dilemma recently regarding its certification when a lip-lock still of Nani-Samantha was making rounds in the web media.

Actress Samantha on her defense tweeted that there were no such scenes. "'U' certificate... No cuts... So happy... So can the rumours pls stop.. No kissing scenes.. Lol.. Thanku," she tweeted.

To confirm the report, the movie has been censored and was awarded with Clean U certification by the censor board, in both its Telugu and Tamil version, which is titled as Neethane En Ponvasantham.
