CenterEdge Software Shares FEC Management Insights at IAAPA Expo
Entertainment Facility Solutions Provider Showcases Innovative Software Suite

CenterEdge Software was exhibiting at the IAAPA Expo for the eighth time, networking with peers and sharing insights into best practices and solutions for business-critical information management.
"Managing revenue and labor continue to be major challenges for the amusement industry," said Marcus Mayer, CenterEdge Software director of operations.
Both issues are being compounded by ongoing problems with the nation's economy, he said, in addition to an increasing push toward year-round schools across the country.
"With the economy being down, tourism is hurting and people are being more discriminating about where they spend their entertainment dollars. When you add to that the increasing difficulty in attracting qualified seasonal employees due to the changing educational calendar, owners and operators of FECs, skating rinks, trampoline parks and large amusement destinations are scrambling," Mayer explained.
Industry stressors contributed to IAAPA attendees approaching CenterEdge Software with questions about the company's Software Advantage suite, Mayer said, seeking help in operating their businesses more profitably with less effort.
CenterEdge Software provides support for such facility management issues as point of sale, reservations, timecards, cash and inventory control, among others.
Estimates put revenue generated from U. S. amusement parks and attractions at approximately $12 billion, contributing approximately $57 million to the nation's economy and providing jobs for more than 600,000 year-round and seasonal employees.
The IAAPA Attractions Expo is the world's largest conference and trade show for the $24 billion worldwide attractions industry and serves as the global marketplace for the industry where the who's who gather to learn, discuss the current trends and hot topics, test the latest innovations, sample new food and beverage creations, and develop new experiences for the future.
Well over 26,000 registered attendees from over 100 countries made this year's IAAPA Attractions Expo one of the largest ever, attracting well-known industry leaders like Brunswick, SeaWorld, Disney, Sky Zone Sports and Dave & Buster's. More than 1,000 companies displayed innovative new products and services to almost 16,000 qualified buyers including executives from amusement parks, water parks, family entertainment centers (FECs), zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, resorts, and roadside attractions.
