(prHWY.com) January 22, 2013 - Seattle, WA -- A Seattle based SEO company has launched a petition to the three major search engine providers asking them to consider foaming a review board for website rankings on search engines. Many website owners and companies compete to hold the coveted top spots in certain keyword rankings, but these rankings are not determined by a live person but instead through computers and analog programs.

"One of the most frustrating things about trying to move up in search engine rankings is that no one physically looks at the sites that are being created", explained John Moore, founder of Rank It Up, a Seattle SEO company. "That causes some of the junky sites to achieve top search engine ranking for top keywords.

This is because no one is looking at it and evaluating if it is a real site or just a spoofed site to get sales for something."

What John Moore is suggesting search engine websites do is create an entire live review board. This live review board will be able to receive requests from other companies in regards to websites they believe are using underhanded methods to achieve top search engine ranking status.

"I just think that there should be a live review board in place where legit businesses and website owners can go in front of and request some websites be evaluated", explained Moore. "I understand they can't review every website on the Internet, but they can form a board that looks at things on a case by case basis."

The idea of a live review board for search engine rankings is not a new concept. Last year, three SEO companies, including a Seattle SEO company, asked Google to consider forming a board that will look at complaints filed by people in regards to top ranking websites being 'scam' websites.

"There were a lot of people who thought they could get away with just slapping nonsense up on their website and putting in keywords into the text", explained Moore. "These websites were usually ones that asked for money or tried to collect personal information from users. There is no reason a website like that should be in a top spot when an ethical, useful website is not."

John Moore hopes creating a review board will help eliminate scam websites and allow ethical, helpful and useful websites to claim the top spots in search engine ranking results. The petition he created has already gained over 200,000 signatures.
