Indian Banking Information Portal BankingOnly.com has initiated an effort to establish a Data Bank of space availability for ATM and Bank branch countrywide to facilitate banks. Now this move enabled banks to open branch or ATM at better locations.
(prHWY.com) June 26, 2012 - Delhi, India -- Indian Banking Information Portal BankingOnly.com has initiated an effort to establish a Data Bank of space availability for ATM and Bank branch countrywide to facilitate banks. Now this move enabled banks to open branch or ATM at better locations within a short period.
In a govt move to spread banking facilities countrywide, the ATM and branch openings will take place at large scale in country in years 2012-14. With launching of Space available for ATM and Bank Branch data bank approx 11000 registration taken place from 35 states and 1000 cities.
Presently there are 89000 ATMs and 92000 bank branches are operating in India including
co-operative banks and RRBs countrywide. Now India is on verse of banking spread up to grass root and it is expected further installation of 1,00,000 ATMs and 50, 000 bank branches in two years.
The BankingOnly.com has initiated to provide availability of 10 options for every desired place of the banks with coverage of 629 districts of 35 states of the country.
This move will facilitate banks to get better places on reasonable lease rent and landowners will get their place rented easily. This data bank will strengthen bank to spread ATMs and Branches at large scale over a small period.
Presently PSU banks are hiring spaces on tender basis. For inviting tenders they are spending minimum amount in lac. In spite of spending huge amount on tender invitation and tender process they could not get better location on reasonable rent. The most of private banks ATMs and branches are at better locations on lesser rent than PSU banks. In tender process bank cannot award tender to other than tender participants. This data bank which is available on Banking directory can be viewed by banks and they can also invite land owners of desired locations for participation in tender process.
Average rent for ATM space which requires 80-100 sq feet space is depends upon locality and city. In rural towns it is minimum Rs.5000, in State Capitals Minimum Rs. 10, 000 and in Metro it is minimum Rs.15, 000. In Mumbai and Delhi the ATM rent is highest and varies from 20,000 to 1.25 lacs. The Delhi Metro ATM rent is 60,000 to 1 lacs and at IGI Airport it is approx 2 lacs per month.
