(prHWY.com) September 19, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- The thought of losing a beloved toy is extremely devastating to a child. The thought of losing such a beloved toy while on vacation is even worse, which is why a new shipping company is creating a new delivery system to help reunite lost toys and children.
"I remember when my son was four years old and he lost his favorite stuffed turtle while on vacation in Florida", said Tammy Marie, founder of Stuffed with Love. "He cried for days afterwards. When the hotel we stayed at contacted us I know it was a breathtaking few days before we knew for sure the toy was on its way."
Tammy Marie has come up with a delivery system that allows parents and their children to track where the toy is on a map. The family is given a unique code and they can log into the
tracking system. The tracking system works exclusively with a fleet management system so the family knows where the toy is at all times.
"I was sitting there working in a warehouse where I was in charge of the fleet management system", explained Tammy Marie. "I thought it would be a cool way to allow families to track lost toys. You know dress the system up a little and allow them to track their toy as it moves closer to them."
Tammy Marie's system allows children to watch their toy as it travels across the country to them. While the main focus of the system is to reunite lost toys with children, Tammy Marie has added a few extra perks that make this system unique.
"One of the things we added in addition to the fleet management system is the ability to have the drivers take photos of the toy on their journey", said Tammy Marie. "They can take photos of the toy at some landmarks and at truck stops along the way. It really is fun."
When the toy has been successfully reunited with the child the family has the option to purchase a photo album that details the event. The photo album starts off at the place where the toy was lost and ends with a photo of the toy back with the child.
"People may think this is odd, but until they have lost their child's favorite toy they really won't know how cool this system is", said Tammy Marie. "It is almost 20 years later and my family still talks about losing the toy. So I think this type of service is important."
