There are several workplaces in which such a situation exists. A workplace in which only one person can enter and exit and work at any given point of time may have been created out of necessity, but it qualifies for a hazardous workplace nevertheless. The rationale for classifying such a workplace as hazardous is that their very nature of existence calls for it. What are OSHA's rules and regulations governing such workplaces?
A training course on confined workplaces
These are what OSHA specialist, Kenneth S. Weinberg will clarify during a webinar on the topic, "Confined Space Entry" that will be organized on December 4 by MentorHealth, a leading provider of regulatory and compliance continuous professional education training.
Kenneth will bring the decades of his experience in the OSHA-related regulations into this 90-minute webinar. His session will give participants an understanding of the parameters and definitions of a confined space. It gives participants clarity on how a confined space is identified. He will also talk about what precautions are needed to be taken when a worker is made to work in a confined workplace. This includes precautions both from the employer and the employee.

And then, his discussion will traverse the areas of the requirements and procedures needed for employers or outside contractors when they need to enter confined workplaces. It will then take up the topic of definitions of hazards that could possibly be encountered when working in a confined space.

By whom: Dr. Kenneth S. Weinberg, Ph.D. is an independent consultant in environmental health and safety. Dr. Weinberg has consulted for several companies in the areas of OSHA Injury and Illness reporting, as well as auditing for OSHA inspections.
He has worked as the Director of Safety at Mass. General Hospital in Boston for almost twelve years, and has written several books on the topics of health care safety, OSHA, and Indoor Air Quality. He has also written several articles for prominent national safety publications, and serves on the editorial advisory boards for safety publications.
He has also been Administrator of the Health Care Division of the American Society of Safety Engineers, and is a member of several panels that advice on safety related matters.
