Should the United States Rely Upon One Huge IT Governance Program or Several Small Ones

(prHWY.com) December 20, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- The debate regarding the nation's IT governance program might not be the top story on every news channel, but it is one that every nation's citizen should be concerned about. The current debate is in regards to whether the United States should develop one huge IT governance program or it should break off into smaller regional programs.

"There are some people on Capitol Hill that believe a nationwide IT governance program could compromise the nation's security", explained a source who wished to remain anonymous. "They believe that if the whole nation were on one system it would make us easier targets for a cyber-attack."

Currently, the United States does not rely upon an IT governance program. IT governance programs are typically reserved for corporations and businesses that are trying to make a profit. However, research may suggest that implementing this type of program on a nationwide scale for the government may help solve some budget issues.

"The biggest concern right now is what should be done with the system", explained the source. "We need to come to a decision on making a regional system or a nationwide system. Once we figure that out we can narrow down the details of this entire system."

Many senators on Capitol Hill are trying to come up with a viable solution that will work for the entire nation. However, like many issues with the government they are completely polarized on what the right solution is for this type of program.

"We have some people who believe a nationwide system could be the end of the government", explained the source. "We have others who believe that a smaller regional system could be just as bad. These people could fight over the entire thing for years."

While some people believe that the IT governance program might be a good solution, some still believe that the government would be better off without it. There are many individuals who believe that by implementing this type of system, the government would turn into a corporation.

"I firmly believe that if we start using systems that help determine money flow and other things that we could be heading down a sticky path", explained one of the protesters. "I think that IT governance programs should be left to big businesses and the government should find their own solution to their own problems. They have the brain power they should use it!"
