Leading Vancouver Brake Repair Centre Sponsors Orphans Fund
They are sending donations to the Fund on behalf of their customers and franchisees.
Initiated by British Columbia radio station and news leader CKNW AM980, the CKNW Orphans' Fund aims to promote the health and welfare of children who are disadvantaged or have physical and mental challenges. Since 1945, they have been collecting and awarding millions of dollars to support children, their families, and other organizations working on their behalf.
The Fund holds its major fundraising event at the beginning of December each year. A live radio broadcast on CKNW Radio tied in with television cut-ins from Global TV. Radio and television personalities, politicians, community leaders, school choirs, grateful recipients, and donors graced the event as well.
Minit Tune has been supporting CKNW and the Orphans' Fund for 26 years to raise awareness of their cause. This December, the auto service centre donated to the Fund once more. This is on top of their previous shows of generosity last October and November where they donated portions of their repairs, services, and oil changes to them.
