LED Projector Prices from Casio "Could Be Cheaper": Leading China Wholesaler

Shenzhen - A typical LED projector could easily cost a thousand dollars, but Chinese wholesale company Chinavasion doesn't think prices should be that high.

According to Rose LI, PR manager for Chinavasion, Casio tagged its hybrid LED/laser Green Slim line of projectors at 1,200 US dollars each.

"That was in 2010 It's already 2012, and the latest generation of Casio's portable projector costs 1,400 dollars."

"You know there's something very wrong going on when prices are going up instead of down," Li adds.

Wholesalers, on the other hand, work directly with manufacturers from China. They are able to procure cheap projector models at a fraction of the Green Slim's costs but providing equivalent functions.

"Take for example Dream HD projector line," says Chinavasion's Rose Li. "This affordable projector model comes in at about 370 dollars apiece. That's about a thousand dollars less than the Green Slim for a video projector that gets produces the same results."

The main draw of Casio's Green Slim projector is its portability. Its thin dimensions allow it to fit into a briefcase, something that Chinavasion's HD Dream cannot do.

"If it's portability we're talking about, then we have even cheaper lineups on hand," Li counters.
"We have an affordable LED projector model that costs just 65 dollars. We even have an affordable projector small enough to fit into your hand for just 100 dollars."

When questioned about quality issues - something that plagues products coming from China - Li counters once again by highlighting Chinavasion's quality control policies.
