China Wholesale Platform Alibaba's IPO Drive Good News for Market: Chinavasion

China wholesale platform Alibaba is well poised for an IPO in the US stock exchange spells good news for China-based wholesalers.

China, China (prHWY.com) January 9, 2013 - Shenzhen - China wholesale giant, Alibaba, being listed on the US stock exchange will make China-made goods more credible and force the country's regulatory systems to become more robust, according to China wholesaler Chinavasion.

"Its 2012 move to buy back its shares from Yahoo opens up the door to an initial public offering in the US," says Chinavasion PR manager Rose Li. "When that inevitably happens, every China supplier - Chinavasion included - will be able to prove itself in the eyes of America's investors."

Li explains that an IPO by Alibaba would force the China wholesale platform to implement tougher quality control measures on its merchant partners. She says these measures will be necessary to win over most American investors and to dispel the shadow of a previous controversy that forced an Alibaba executive to step down.

"After an incident where Alibaba employees conspired to give gold ratings to fraudulent merchants, Alibaba will want to make sure that everything - and I mean everything - is done by the book," says Li.

"This is good news for a quality-oriented wholesale supplier like us," adds Li. "Our own standards of quality allowed us to thrive in the global scene. If a major China wholesale platform like Alibaba gets recognized in the New York Stock Exchange, it will help bolster our image around the world as a reliable supplier of wholesale gadgets and wholesale electronics."

Alibaba is an ecommerce platform connecting China-based suppliers to businesses all over the world. The China wholesale platform has not confirmed any specific date for its IPO, although it is expected to conduct the offering on or before 2015 as part of a deal to buy back Yahoo's remaining shares of the company.
