Pint Size Buildings and signals help teach children full size safety lessons

Bayfield, CO (prHWY.com) January 10, 2013 - When former police chief Dennis Evers built a small scale railroad signal for his children's miniature riding train twenty-five years ago, he never expected it to turn into a full time business making safety towns, railroad signals and signals for training that are used around the world.

Today, Scale Products Company provides everything from a single scale stop sign to its newest addition, "Safety Town on Wheels" - an entire portable town that fits inside an enclosed trailer. The town features police and fire departments as well as gas pumps and miniature working traffic and railroad signals as well.

According to Evers, people buy the railroad signals for their personal use as well. "We have our scale railroad signals in theme parks, restaurants, hobby shops and hundreds of private railroads and train rooms in almost every state".

"We build a lot of unique products, but my favorites are those that help teach children safety. Our "Safety Town on Wheels" trailer houses everything necessary to teach a variety of safety lessons to a wide age range of students, including: traffic, pedestrian, bicycle, school bus, vehicle and railroad crossing safety, as well as how to properly use crosswalks, traffic and walk/don't walk signs. All of our products can be used indoors or outside and can work in a small gym or a large parking lot."

Used by police and fire departments as well as cities, hospitals, schools and service groups, Scale Products Companies safety towns are designed to be easily and quickly set up and taken down, and usually by only two people.
