Miami, FL (prHWY.com) January 12, 2013 - Jesus Zeus Salas, an award-winning professional in Spanish-language radio broadcasting, is pleased to announce his ongoing support of efforts to improve and enrich educational opportunities for youth in and around Miami. This renewed commitment to education comes in the wake of Jesus Zeus Salas' experience being principal for a day at a school in the Miami-Dade County public school system.
"I've always been a strong supporter of Miami-Dade County schools, but spending a full day with the teachers, staff, and students of the Miami-Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center this past December really brought home the importance of supporting education here in Miami," remarked Jesus Zeus Salas.

As a local professional leader with an interest in education, Jesus Zeus Salas was invited to participate in the Miami-Dade County school district's Principal for a Day program in December 2012. While acting as principal, Jesus Zeus Salas took a tour of the school, spoke with students about their hopes and dreams, and helped teachers and staff update the school's technological learning systems.

"Especially for kids who come from underprivileged families, or have had trouble with the law in the past, education is absolutely the key to ensuring a successful and healthy future," commented Jesus Zeus Salas. "I spoke with a number of students who are dedicated to entering the entertainment industry, whether through music, acting, production, or broadcasting. They all had hopes for a brighter future, and I'd like to help them get there by supporting the schools that will lead them down the right path."

At the end of his day as principal of the Juvenile Justice Center, Jesus Zeus Salas was invited to join the school's Education Excellence School Advisory Council. Jesus Zeus Salas reports that he was honored to accept the invitation, remarking, "I'm very excited to have an opportunity to keep offering my own skills and knowledge to the Juvenile Justice Center, and I'm equally excited to keep learning about education and getting to know the students and staff."

Jesus Zeus Salas strongly encourages Miami-based business and community leaders to get involved with the Principal for a Day program, in order to learn more about the needs and goals of the Miami-Dade public school system.
