After more than half a year's hard work, he was able to get his acting jobs. He first started in TV shows like Dallas, Another World and Growing Pains.

Pitt met his then-girlfriend Juliette Lewis during the filming of a "Too Young to Die" TV movie. He had his big screen debut in Cutting Class in 1989. Then he starred in The Favor, Johnny Suede, and Cool World. But these movies were not sufficient to provide a boost to his credibility as an actor. Hollywood took notice of Pitt as more than just a pretty face after the release of "A River Runs through It." Then he starred in critically acclaimed movies like Devil's Own, Twelve Monkeys, and Seven Years in Tibet, Meet Joe Black, which earned him a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor. Pitt's upcoming movies include Inglorious Basterds and The Tree of Life with Sean Penn.
