Houman Rezazadeh-Azar Announces Ongoing Commitment to Humanity
Houman Rezazadeh-Azar has long been working to improve the lives of those around him, and shows no signs of stopping.

"Helping others is the most important work that anyone can do," contends Houman Rezazadeh-Azar. "I personally don't feel fulfilled if I'm not doing something to better my community. There's just so much to be done."
Houman Rezazadeh-Azar has worked to make a difference in a number of ways in the past. He has volunteered as an academic tutor for university students, traveled to Haiti three times to help the local community recover after the 2010 earthquake, and has organized numerous charity events through the Vancouver Salsa Dance Club and the local snowboarding community.
"I love working with members of my community to make things better for others," said Houman Rezazadeh-Azar. "It's a great way to meet people with similar interests and commitments, and a fantastic way to learn about viewpoints and cultures that you may not know about. I think working with youth is especially important, since they really are the future of the world, and greatly benefit from positive role models."
Houman Rezazadeh-Azar currently works with youth in a number of ways. He is a Children and Youth instructor at the Acadia Community Center, and focuses on teaching youth about service, virtue development, and citizenship. As an instructor, Houman Rezazadeh-Azar puts together curricula and organizes collaborative learning opportunities. He is also a martial arts instructor for the Department of Youth and Child Welfare, and a youth mentor at Greater Vancouver Family Services. Houman Rezazadeh-Azar plans to continue in all of these positions.
When asked about his future involvement, Houman Rezazadeh-Azar remarked, "I have my own career goals, for certain, but I can honestly say that my life would be incomplete if I weren't doing something for the people of my community. I plan to be involved in current efforts for a long time, and intend to always be a servant of humanity in some capacity."
