He made it with a budget of just Rs 3 lakhs (approximately 6000 $) yet sustaining the quality of mainstream cinema.

It was P V Krishnan himself who had donned various roles for the film, He wore the caps of screenplay writer, casting director, cinematographer, editor, visual effects artist , sound editor , Director and producer for the film besides playing a cameo in the film. That's how he claims that his impeccable love towards movies made him to make AUGUST 2 - A One Man Technical Crew Mainstream Movie and also made possible to make One Of The World's Lowest budget feature film at a budget of Rs 3 Lakhs (approximately 6000 $)

He says that he is going to release the movie directly on his official movie website AUGUST2MOVIE.IN from 21/01/2013 onwards, where the viewer had to pay 3 $ to the media player present on the website and stream the movie which is the future of distribution.
