Occupational Onsite First aid Training
If you want to learn lifesaving first aid and surf rescue skills then Surf Life Saving WA is the right place for you.

Life saving techniques are a part of what you will learn during your occupational first aid training, and clearly the most important part at that. While it is true that, as we mentioned before, you hope you never have to use these techniques, it is equally clear that should the need for you to use them ever arise, it is far better to have these skills than to not. Chief among these skills is CPR, and you will definitely learn that. However, you will also learn other important, potentially life saving skills, including how to recognize subtle warning signs of potentially life threatening situations, which we'll talk more about in a moment.
Basic treatments for common illnesses and injuries (just like the ones we've already mentioned) are also part of what you will learn during your occupational first aid training. If you work with people who work in the outdoors, bites and stings are an ever present danger. You will also learn the best ways to deal with scrapes and bruises. Time will also be spent reviewing how to treat specific illnesses and injuries which may arise due to the particulars of the specific environment in which you work. You will also learn to recognize injuries and illnesses which are severe enough to warrant further treatment, as we are about to discover.
Recognizing warning signs of potentially life threatening illnesses and injuries is in and of itself a life saving technique. Therefore, a significant amount of time will be spent on this subject during your occupational first aid treatment. Sometime, the signs of these illnesses can be quite subtle, and knowing how to recognize them can easily mean the difference between life and death for one of your co-workers. Stroke is one common such illness to look out for, but there are others as well.
