Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) January 22, 2013 - Linda Pillman teachers fifth grade at the local elementary school. She has been teaching children for the past 20 years and has always been known as the teacher who comes up with the most unique ideas for teaching. This year, her unique teaching ideas came while creating a list of Halloween costume ideas for her class' party.

"I was working with my class to create a list of Halloween costume ideas", she explained in an interview. "My students were tossing out regular costume ideas like ghost, witches and other things. I told them to be creative and that's what sparked the new teaching idea."

It appears as if Linda Pillman's class started tossing out ideas that she could dress as various game show hosts. They threw out the idea that for the Halloween party she could host various game shows.

"I saw how much the children liked the idea of taking part in their own versions of the game shows and started to build upon that", explained Pillman. "I went home that evening and started creating classroom versions of all their favorite games."

Linda Pillman created over a dozen different classroom versions of various game shows. These versions can be used for a variety of different subjects and for different age levels.

"I used some of the costume ideas and created a teacher version of the host", explained Pillman. "There were masks and costume changes. The children loved it.

The best part of it all was that they were learning and not just sitting around doing nothing at all."

The reaction from the students was amazing. All of the students went home and shared their experiences with their parents and siblings.

"I have never seen my child so excited to learn", explained Katie Slinger, a parent of a student in Pillman's classroom. "My child couldn't stop talking about what they learned, how much fun they had, and when the next game would be."

Linda Pillman has made this whole game show experience a regular part of her classroom curriculum. She believes that it is improving test results.

"I was amazed at the test results my children turned in", explained Pillman. "I saw students who didn't normally ace tests, acing them. It made me feel really proud of them. I hope this momentum encourages them to keep on learning the rest of their lives, because they are all so very gifted, talented and smart."
