Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) January 22, 2013 - The restaurant world is trying to adapt to today's ever-changing culture. It seems that more and more people are passing on sit down restaurants and opting to eat on the go. A new restaurant franchise in Texas is looking to take advantage of this opportunity by creating tiny cafes on the go, but these cafés have a twist - they are used storage pods.

"I used to own a storage pod rental facility", explained Joe Sanders, creator of Dining 'N Go. "I noticed there were a lot of used storage pods just lying around and I was trying to think of something to do with them. That was when I came up with the idea to create little cafes that can be transported around the local area."

Each little storage pod is outfitted with a tiny kitchenette, air vents, and a small counter. The opening to the storage pod is used as the front of the store, while all the cooking is done in the back.

"There is everything that a real café would have, but on a smaller scale", explained Sanders. "This allows us to offer a full menu to our customers, but have the luxury to travel around the area."

The goal of each little café is to hit areas that have major foot traffic. These areas can include business districts, universities, and other areas. There are different cafes for each type of cuisine and each storage pod café will travel to a different area by a rotating schedule.

"Our main goal is to create a culinary wonderland that people will love visiting and eating at", explained Sanders. "The whole storage pod idea is just a little quirky thing that we hope will draw people to eat at our café."

The storage pods have been used for a small café for the past six months. The reception has been fairly overwhelming. Some of the small cafes have developed a fan following and have Twitter and Facebook accounts.

"We wanted to make an interactive experience for our customers", said Donny Pillowworth, a manager at one of the storage pod cafes. "We thought if we could generate a fan following people would feel at home and want to come to these cafes."

To date, there are over 15 different traveling storage pod cafes. It generates an estimated annual earnings of anywhere between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. People from all over the Texas area travel to taste some of the menu items and visit this often talked about café.
