Tropical Jungle Comes to a Hotel Vancouver Airport Location

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) January 22, 2013 - Travelers looking for a unique location to rest their head while they are in the Vancouver area might enjoy the new up-and-coming hotel - Wake in the Jungle. This new tropical jungle themed hotel is being built right next to the Vancouver airport and sure to offer a lot of thrills and excitement.

"We noticed that a lot of the hotels in that offered a hotel Vancouver airport location were just plain, regular hotels", explained Joseph Lavender, the owner of Wake in the Jungle. "I wanted to offer guests a new and exciting experience. I brainstormed for a few days and Wake in the Jungle was born."

Wake in the Jungle is a full service hotel. It offers 800 guest rooms, 4 penthouse suites and a unique jungle experience. The jungle experience is believed to be what will draw guests to the hotel in the first place.

"What we have done is we have taken the entire wooded area that is behind the hotel and transformed it into a full jungle", said Lavender. "We have caged off areas where there are lion, tigers and bears. We have a whole area where there are exotic birds and even a relaxing waterfall. Pretty much it's an entire tropical jungle."

The hotel had to go through extensive safety certification and renovations to accommodate this entire jungle theme. It cost approximately 1.5 million dollars and took over eight months to build, but it was the ultimate dream of Joseph Lavender to have a building of this nature.

"This was always a goal of mine", said Lavender. "I really wanted to have my own tropical jungle and this is as close as I will get."

The hotel portion of the building goes right along with the jungle theme. Every room is designed with bright jungle colors and the hallways have a surround sound stereo that pipes in jungle sounds.

"I wanted guest to have the whole jungle experience", said Lavender. "I didn't want it to be just when they went out and toured the jungle in the back. I wanted them to have it while they were in their rooms and walking through the halls."

The official grand opening for the hotel is schedule for some time in April. The hotel is currently open for a test run to select guests. The test run seems to be going good and response to the hotel and tropical jungle has been extremely positive.
