NMAT 2013 result: NMAT results out today; 95 percent cut-off for NMIMS Mumbai

NMAT, the entrance test of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies will release today.

Noida, India (prHWY.com) January 24, 2013 - The results for NMAT, the entrance test for the coveted Mumbai based NMIMS University, will be released today on January 24, 2013. More than 62,000 students took the NMAT exam to enter into NMIMS University's MBA programs in Mumbai, Hyderabad and other centres. The cut off for the NMIMS Mumbai MBA program is expected to be 95 percent, which is higher than 93.5 percent of last year.

Confirming the development with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University, said: "NMAT 2013 has been a great success. We have grown from 56,000 test-takers to 62,000 test takers. We will be releasing the results on January 24."

NMIMS will be issuing calls to approximately 2350 candidates for its 480 seats in Mumbai campus. The cut off for issuing call letters is 95 percent. A candidate should have scored 209+ marks out of 360 total marks to get a call.
NMAT 2013 was held between October 11, 2012 and December 19, 2012. Candidates were allowed to take the test thrice and the best scores would be considered for admission.

After CAT and XAT, NMIMS NMAT is the third largest exam in the country. CAT 2012 was taken by 192,000 candidates, while XAT 2013 was taken by 92,000 candidates.
Around 67,000 candidates have registered for NMAT 2013. A candidate can take the test thrice - two times after the original attempt. The best of the scores will be accepted by the institute.
