London, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) January 28, 2013 - The President of the Tourism And Hospitality Association Of Guyana, Daniel Tadjie, has come on record last Wednesday to highlight the need for an ongoing investment in training in hospitality management.

According to Mr. Tadjie, the highly competitive nature of the hospitality industry makes constant training not only necessary, but almost mandatory for any entities who wish to stand out positively within the field.

The statements were made during a one day customer-focused training seminar, developed by THAG in association with a local travel entity and held in a local hotel. The event was conducted by a US-based specialist in training in hospitality management, Janice Hall, and attended by Mr Tadjie himself, along with a number of workers in the relevant industry.

Guyana is one of the few Caribbean countries which is not an island and, like most of its neighbours, has an industry which hinges heavily on the tourism and hospitality trades, making this event and the declarations by Mr. Tadjie especially relevant.
