Chamblee, GA (prHWY.com) January 31, 2013 - Have you ever pondered that after we throw the plastic bottles or other single time use only products, where it goes? How long it will take to become a finished product. Like this there are many questions which come to our mind. So let's start with the molding process generally there are two types of plastic molding thermo sets and thermo plastics, where the former hardens at high temperature and latter melts down at the increasing temperature. With the help of extrusion die design, we can make products by using the both materials.

The main cause for this difference is the polymers which are the base for both of these kinds. Polymers of thermo statics are found in one dimensional string where as the polymers of thermosets are three dimensional chains. Many kinds of molding processes are in practice, and the combination of two is known as blowing molding (extrusion and injection molding).

No doubt in our everyday items we have more plastic based items than any other material. We use them with ease without knowing whether they cause any sort of environmental hazard to our society. Due to so much versatility in plastic, we have made a wide range of products which are designed and commonly used in our daily life by different plastic extruders. Its usage has a large clientele from house hold appliance to agriculture equipments and fulfilling the requirements of corporate houses to high end packaging material.

For instance the plastic bottles are used primarily in our daily routine. We use it daily but we don't know anything about its manufacturing, it is an irony. After we throw the used bottles it goes to recycling unit. Bottle caps are kept aside as it is being manufactured by some other kind of plastic, whereas the body of the bottle is manufactured by some inferior kind of material as compared to cap. They gather all bottles and they are grinded and broken into small pieces and before making granules of the material. Then the material is ready for the new avatar.

Extrusion die design is used to make different types of products but the debate is still going, that which is a better option wood or plastic. A nonscientific test conducted by the Arson Bureau of New York clearly states that the burn rate of plastic is faster than that of wood; it burned at higher temperature also. That is not a good sign for the organizations that have a considerable amount of plastic used in their warehouses.
