indore, India (prHWY.com) February 4, 2013 - Turmeric futures decline 0.56% on subdued demand.
Turmeric prices declined by Rs 36 to Rs 6,406 per quintal in futures market owing to subdued demand in the spot market against sufficient supplies. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in May declined by Rs 36, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 6,406 per quintal with an open interest of 7,565 lots.
Chana futures slide for second day on supply pressure
Chana prices slided for the second day by losing Rs 22 to Rs 3,528 per quintal in futures trading as speculators reduced their positions, triggered by supplies pressure at spot market following higher arrivals from producing regions. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April fell by Rs 22, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 3,528 per quintal with an open interest of 70,030 lots.
