Gurgaon, India (prHWY.com) February 6, 2013 - Summer is yet to arrive, but all refrigerator brands have already unveiled their latest models that are not only smart, consistent and look elegant but are also technologically more efficient to save power. LG's newly launched power-cut Ever Cool refrigerators are expected to retain cooling for up to seven hours without electricity. Where LG aspires to provide solution to power-cut problems, Godrej, Samsung and Videocon are not lagging. Godrej has come up with Edge Pro Refrigerators that offer a six-star performance across parameters, like, 15 per cent more energy efficient and 80 per cent better cooling than other five-star refrigerators.

This refrigerator does not release harmful gases like CFC/HEC and HCEC. Its Stay Cool technology in the freezer promises up to 24 hour cooling retention despite power cuts. Not to be left behind, Samsung has come up with Digital Inverter Series of frost-free refrigerators. Its digital inverter compressor adjusts cooling performance based on daily refrigerator use and temperature levels.

It delivers up to 40 per cent more energy efficiency and can stably operate despite high fluctuation of voltage (llOV to 300V) even at 50 degree Celsius. It also eliminates the need of a separate stabilizer providing better energy efficiency while saving on space. Videocon recently launched its Magic Cool Zone Technology that would keep various food items stored healthy, by setting optimum temperature of each food ingredient.

Talking about Whirlpool's launch plans, Shantanu Dasgupta, (www.whirlpoolindia.com) VP, corporate affairs and strategy, says: "We'll be launching our new series of refrigerators in March, 2013 which would be under 4 to 5 star categories and would help to balance the voltage fluctuation. It would also help to preserve for 12 to 15 hours during power cuts. It would also have eco-friendly gas."
