Brad Deokisingh stayed calm and reacted appropriately to an emergency situation, potentially saving many human lives.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (prHWY.com) February 7, 2013 - After Brad Deokisingh reacted appropriately to an emergency situation that could have endangered the lives of many humans, he should be considered a hero.

During the hot, humid summer of 2008, Corporal Brad Deokisingh was standing where he was assigned, at post one, when he received a telephone call from the LGF. The LGF alerted Brad Deokisingh that a package had been delivered to the U.S. embassy, and that the package had leaked a suspicious, potentially dangerous white powder. In this situation, it is extremely important to remain calm and to respond accordingly, which is exactly what Brad Deokisingh did. Brad Deokisingh trusted his instincts and his training and decided to respond.

Upon RSO direction, Brad Deokisingh utilized his training and began using the Selectone system, which is an emergency communication system. Brad Deokisingh used the Selectone system to alert the proper authorities that a package had been delivered to the U.S. embassy and that the package had begun to leak a mysterious white powder. After delivering this news to the proper authorities, Brad Deokisingh ordered, in a clear and concise manner, for the entire wing of the U.S. embassy that could have potentially been contaminated by the mysterious white powder to be shut down until further notice. Brad Deokisingh knew that if someone in the U.S. embassy had been contaminated by the powder and left the building, there would be serious problems. An immediate quarantine was ordered for the entire, potentially contaminated wing until emergency services could come to the scene and test all the material.

Brad Deokisingh has proven that he understands what it takes to act on your feet and remain calm in high-tension situations. Failure to remain calm during these situations could result in the whole situation spiraling out of control. Brad Deokisingh defused the situation with ease and effectiveness. Thanks to Brad Deokisingh's training, provided by the United States Marine Corps, potentially dozens of human lives were saved at the U.S. embassy when an unidentified white powder was leaked from a delivered package.
