Move Over Party Buses Portable Moving Pods are the New Party Trend

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) February 12, 2013 - The past decade has seen an increase in party trends. These party trends tend to creep out of nowhere and become extremely popular. The latest party trend has been the idea of drinking, partying and dancing on a bus, but that could be replaced with a new trend - party moving pods.

"We have noticed an increased number of people renting out portable moving pods and using them as small shelters for their party", explained Dan Corners, an owner of a local moving pod rental facility. "We don't normally recommend people use these pods for partying, but we can't stop people once they rent the pod."

Many people find the smaller, more intimate setting of a moving pod to be a fun, exciting setting for parties. The moving pods have started to replace party buses and even rental halls.

"I was trying to plan my daughter's sweet 16 party", explained Jane Young, a parent. "My daughter said that the latest thing was to have a moving pod as a tent like facility for the party. I was a little stunned, but when I went to rent one the guy said it was a new trend."

Moving pods were originally designed to provide people with an alternative solution to moving their goods from one location to another. The pods provide a small area that is great for storing items.

"The moving pods are still being used for its intended purpose", explained Corners. "We are just seeing people think outside of the box when it comes to party options. I'm sure this is just a fad or trend and will die down in a few months."

Almost everyone has gotten on the trend of using a portable moving pod as a party location. Magazines have featured it as their main story, party supply stores have started to carry supplies for the moving pods, and celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon.

"Moving pod parties weren't a hit until the celebrities started doing it", explained Corners. "That was when we really saw a huge increase in demand for these pods."

Experts still recommend using a regular tent shelter for parties and leaving the moving pods to their original purpose. Even with that recommendation it is still estimated that approximately 10% of moving pod rentals are for party uses.

"I think it's just a really fun and cool way to party", said Randy Underhill. "I think it's cooler than a party bus because you don't get motion sickness from it moving."
