indore, India (prHWY.com) February 16, 2013 - Chana futures up on good spot demand.
Chana prices rose by Rs 13, or 0.38 per cent per quintal in futures market as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by a pick-up in spot demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, chana for delivery in April rose by Rs 13, or 0.38 per cent per quintal, with an open interest of 71,270 lots.
Turmeric futures up on spot demand
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 82 per quintal in futures trading mostly on the back of a firming trend in the spot market on pick-up in domestic demand amid hopes of lower output. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in May rose by Rs 82, or 1.28 per cent per quintal in open interest of 8,310 lots.
