Indian chana falls on arrivals, output hopes.

Indian chana futures fell on due to a rise in supplies from the new season crop and expectations of a rise in output. The most-active chana contract for April delivery on the National Commodity and DerivativesExchange was down 0.46 per cent at Rs 3,452 per 100 kg.

Turmeric jumps on quality arrival

Spot turmeric rose by Rs 1,400 a quintal on as the quality of arrivals improved. Though fresh upcountry orders are still missing, traders quoted Rs 7,509 a quintal, which is Rs 1400 a
quintal more than Tuesday's price, for the 300 bags of super fine hybrid variety kept for sale. They quoted increased price for other quality goods, too," said Erode Turmeric Merchants
Association President R.K.V. Ravishankar. Arrival of the new crop has increased over the past few days. Of the 3,300 bags that arrived, 800 were from the new crop. The new crop was sold at Rs 6,400.
