LosAngeles, CA (prHWY.com) February 26, 2013 - The OMICS Group was established by a person who had passion for contributing to the growth of the scientific community. Dr Srinubabu Gedela hails from the state of Andhra Pradesh India. After completing his elementary education in his native place, the OMICS Publishing Group MD moved to Visakhapatnam for pursuing his higher studies. The OMICS Publishing Group MD moved to the US for pursing postdoctoral research at the Stanford University of Medicine, soon after he completed his Ph. D. The future OMICS Publishing Group MD interacted with fellow professors at the Stanford University who collaborated to promote research and scientific publications for the encouragement and aid of emerging scientists.

Earlier, Dr. Gedela pursued B Pharm and went on to complete his M Tech in Biotechnology from Andhra University. He was particularly interested in the analysis of proteins and pharmaceuticals, and his Ph. D concentrated upon the same. Dr. Gedela was chosen as the Young Scientist while pursuing his studies at the Andhra University. Dr Gedela also shared the same interests and the seeds for a scientific learning organization were sown under his able leadership as OMICS Publishing Group MD. The first Open Access journal was released as the OMICS journal of Proteomics in2007. In his pursuit for interacting with renowned scholars, Dr Gedela traveled to many countries. In a very small span after completing his thesis, he was invited to speak at various high-level scientific meets in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, in addition to the USA.

Dr Gedela is the current OMICS Publishing Group MD and has been leading the organization since 2007. The OMICS Publishing Group MD has also been keen on scientific events and relevant exhibitions across the calendar year. These meets on several subjects happen on an annual basis regularly. The idea for aiding students with free scientific literature is important as it would help the learners and students who are obstructed by subscription charges and copyright restrictions. The Open Access policy for scientific journals is thus followed by the OMICS Group for smooth reference and retrieval of articles on research findings by the scientific community.
