Abington, PA (prHWY.com) February 27, 2013 - (February 25, 2013) Abington, PA - Center School, a private school centered on children with learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, executive function and auditory processing issues) announced its annual fundraiser will be held Tuesday evening, March 12, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at the school. With a theme of "It Takes a Village," the International Spring Food Festival and Auction raises money for both scholarship and the school's active PTO.

"For a school that focuses on students who really require a specific kind of learning environment, our fundraisers are crucial," said Allison Enslein, Center School's Director. "Teachers here are certified to teach in ways you won't always find in a public school. We bring on the best and keep them and as a result, our children flourish."

The annual event, now in its tenth year, features an International Food Festival featuring dozens of restaurants from the area, and a silent and live auction, with items donated from families and the local community. Among this year's auction items are four tickets to a Sixers game with an opportunity to watch the pregame shoot-around from the court, escorted by Marc Zumoff, the Voice of the Sixers, and then a chance to get autographs and meet the players before the game begins.

Tickets are available by calling the school office at 215-657-2200. The International Spring Food Festival and Auction is open to the public, adults only.

Center School, a co-educational day school for children ages 6-14, teaches children with learning disabilities ranging from dyslexia and dysgraphia to ADD, auditory processing and executive function issues, using proven techniques such as the Orton-Gillingham method. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Center School's outstanding track record shows improved reading and academics, an enhanced sense of self awareness and a warm, inviting environment for learning. Center School is committed to each child's individual needs and provides ongoing strategies for optimal development both inside and outside the classroom.
