During this festival, more than 100 elephants take to participate in several competitions, and noted folk dancers perform many forms of dances such as Kalbeliya Dance, Brij-holi, Tribal Dance, Chakri Dance, etc. Apart from elephants, Camel, Chariots, Lancers on Horses and cannons are also used to show royal past of Rajasthan during the festival.

During the festival, the pink city of Rajasthan comes alive with folk dance and music, and of course Elephants. They participate in many various events such as Elephant Polo, tug-of-war between Elephants, Elephant beauty contests, etc., which attract tourists from all corners of the world. It is an unbelievable experience for tourists to see the outstanding Elephants parade with their decorated trunks. The most unique feature of this festival is that most of the Elephants that participate in the festival are female Elephants.
