Essen, Germany (prHWY.com) March 5, 2013 - The portable clamshell pipe cold cutting machine for steel pipe cutting has been developed in cooperation with European Offshore industry. A high metal removal rate, a large adjustment range and an easy setup is given with these outperforming clamshells. The portable pipe cutter avoids any heat affected zone (haz). Specially designed for heavy wall steel pipes with high wall-thickness in heavy duty applications. Their high working speed and quick readiness for use allow economic manufacture.

The portable pipe cuttering machine for the machining of pipes on-site, are versatile in application and can perform many operations and are designed for new steel pipe grades like P91. The portable pipe cutter is versatile in application and can perform numerous operations like
radial severing of pipes
simultanious cutting and beveling 
pipe end forming before weld preparation 
inside-turning of pipe ends
flange facing for repair of flanges on-site
The application range of the machines is from 76 mm - 1219 mm O.D. and for wall thickness up to 100 mm. The split construction type potable steel pipe cutter is easy to be mounted on assembled pipelines. Special applications like remote control are available for limited access in pipeline welding.
The portable pipe cold cutting machine has a high metal removal rate, a large adjustment range, are easy to handle and are constructed in a rugged and compact way.
