Gold steadies on easy money policy hopes.
Gold edged lower on as signs of a strengthening US economy encouraged investors to take riskier bets, but speculation that central banks will stick to easy money policies continued to put a floor under prices. Gold prices have held in a narrow range for four sessions as traders await the outcome of European Central Bank and Bank of England policy meetings later in the day, and US non-farm payrolls report.
Copper, aluminium gain on U.S. jobs data, stronger euro.
Copper and aluminium prices rebounded, lifted by a strong euro and better-than-expected U.S. data that boosted the outlook for growth, but slow demand from top consumer China may keep further gains in check. Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange closed 1.0 percent higher at $7,765 a tonne after shedding 1 percent on Wednesday. Aluminium gained 1.3 percent to finish at $1,979 a tone
