The purpose of the camp is to spread awareness among party leaders regarding the schemes and projects launched by the Congress-led UPA government and the history of the party. Priyanka Gandhi was accompanied by Union Minister Salman Khurshid and senior leader from Madhya Pradesh Suresh Pachouri.
In the light of the party's loss in Assembly elections last year in Uttar PRadesh, Priyanka Gandhi asked party workers to be visible among the public, noting that the party should be more strong enough and people should easily recognise its workers. She also asked the party workers to interact with public and address any problem people are facing. She also told the party workers that they should understand their importance.
While Priyanka focused on party organisation, Khurshid highlighted the achievements of the UPA government in the last nine years, telling the party leaders about the commitments and the promises made by the government in various fields. In the coming days, more senior Congress leaders are expected to address the workers.
