Is apple going to launch its iPhone 5?

It seems that Apple has delayed the launch of iPhone 5 due to a valid reason. According to iSuppli's Q1 report, the emerging smartphone giant increased its shipments of iPhones (phones like iPhone 4) in the first quarter of 2011 by 15%.

London, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) May 12, 2011 - Samsung and Motorola's phone shipments experienced a decline, while phone manufacturers like HTC and Research in Motion recorded an increase of phone shipments. Nokia, a huge name in the mobile industry is also down by 15%. Motorola, Samsung, and HTC are known as top manufacturers of Android smartphones.

Motorola and Samsung are likely to launch LTE smartphones this year, the Motorola Droid Bionic and the Samsung Droid Charge. Motorola faced a huge decline with 16% less shipments compared to its last Q4 2010 performance, while Samsung's decline is only 1.6 points. Both smartphones are shipping with Android, and will use Verizon's fast 4G/LTE frequency bands.

Rumors has it, Apple will delay the launch of iPhone 5, and will reveal a new version of its iOS operating system compatible with older iPhone versions like the iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPhone 4. iPhone 5 has nothing as its announcement for the release yet, but most of the rumors are claiming that the Cupertino, California-based company will launch the iPhone 5 in USA in September of this year.
