Petaling Jaya, Malaysia (prHWY.com) March 26, 2013 - The easternmost state of Malaysia is forced to go on red alert when intruders from the neighbouring Philippines breached her serenity on one unfortunate day last February. This is no shocker to the world as the news hits headlines daily since the beginning of the ordeal. It adds oil to the fire that lives were sacrificed, among which are from the Malaysian police force. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is currently stressed out over the nation's most terrible safety issue in the new millennium, has increased the police and armed forces for the uptight Sabah. Besides, the Home Ministry has announced the creation and upgrading of police stations in dire locations that added brownie points to Sabah's tourism scene.
Other than the above, the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) was set up. This will surely heighten the confidence of the tourists and tourism players. State Tourism, Environment and Culture Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the establishment of ESSCOM assured that their comfort and safety were the top priority of the government. Datuk Masidi, as well as Malaysia's Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, assured that Sabah is still a safe place to visit. "On behalf of the tourism fraternity in Sabah, I would like to record our appreciation to the federal government on the measures it has taken to guarantee the security of Sabah and its people and to ensure visitors too feel doubly safe and secure," he said in a statement on 14 March.

Datuk Masidi also added that ESSCOM would overcome the everlasting problems of illegal entry to the land below the wind. To find out how you can enter the territory the lawful way, you may check our Malaysia tourist visa requirement as the requirement varies based on individual nationality. And please leave your weapons at home.
