LOS ANGELES (May 13, 2013): Bestselling legal fiction author John Martel was interviewed on "The Joan Quinn Profiles" on Friday for later broadcast on L.A. 36, the West Hollywood City Channel, MNN in New York, YouTube, and nationally on line at Double GTV and SmartChannelTV. He is a named lawyer at Farella Braun + Martel in San Francisco, CA.

Joan Agajanian Quinn has interviewed hundreds of artists in a variety of disciplines since 1993, including personalities as diverse as Javier Bardem, Frank Gehry, Vera Wang, William H. Macy, Paloma Picasso, Oscar De La Renta, and Dennis Hopper.

Martel's latest novel is The American Lawyer, an international legal thriller. All four of his previous novels have been either regional or New York Times bestsellers, including Billy Strobe, Conflicts of Interest, The Alternate and Partners. He has been listed among the National Law Journal's "Top Ten Trial Lawyers in America" and served as a consultant to the prosecution in the Menendez and O.J. Simpson cases. He currently enjoys an active pro bono litigation practice at Farella Braun + Martel.

Martel leads a varied life. He has composed 75 country rock songs and performed his original music at The Troubadour in Los Angeles and The Palomino Club in North Hollywood. In 1997, he won the National Masters Track and Field Championship in the 100 meter hurdles, running the fastest time in the world for his age group that year. Martel lives with his wife in Santa Cruz, California.
