Kensington, Australia (prHWY.com) May 22, 2011 - Perth continues to suffer from lack of rain. Still the Water Corporation and the State Government refuse to offer any rebate on synthetic turf installations. Prasinus Ecoturf has decided to do the government's job for them by offering a $20.00 per square metre rebate on all installations during the winter period. This will reduce a typical premium quality installation from $80 -$90 per square metre down to $60 - $80 for Perth residents who wish to convert their lawn during the West Australian winter.

Prasinus Ecoturf is offering a genuine $20.00 per square metre rebate on all new installations between the months of June to October. Traditionally the winter period is known to be the quieter time for synthetic grass turf companies. However, the record lack of rain in the summer has left many lawns already dead or dying. Home owners are tired of attending to poor quality lawns and with the rain still not falling very often, watering is required to keep traditional lawns alive. The Water Corporation of WA continue to advertise their save 60 campaign. This requires all members of the household to save 60 litres of water each day. By replacing only a small amount of lawn, any household can save at least 100 litres of water per person per day continuously. With this water saving advantage it is surprising that the State Government has not introduced financial rebates to property owners as an incentive to cut back on their water usage. Prasinus Ecoturf are going to offer the rebate on behalf of the government by introducing a minimum $20.00 rebate for every square metre of artificial grass ordered during June to October.

This year Perth experienced its driest winter on record with the lowest ever rainfall in the southern part of the state and by far the lowest run off on record. Only 13 gigalitres this year of water flow into our dams, compared with an average of over 100 gigalitres per annum over the past decade. Saving 60 litres a day amounts to 21 900 litres per year. By replacing an average size front lawn with a synthetic grass, a householder can save approximately 75 - 100 000 litres per year, four times the Water Corporation target! This does not take into account the added benefits of having a maintenance free, beautiful looking lawn all year round.

Recent price increases amount to almost 18 per cent for Western Australia's domestic water users. It has also been confirmed by the WA Government that another increase in water cost will be introduced in 2011. Next year's cost will rise by an additional 8 per cent.

Prasinus Ecoturf provides premium quality synthetic turf Perth together with excellent professional service for all landscaping needs. This rebate offer is for a limited time only and is subject to the availability of current stock.
